Over the past few weekends, I have been starting work on a few projects that have been sitting in my garage for over a year. Let me start off by saying that I have never refinished a piece of furniture in my life. This is kind of a learn as I go process with a little guidance from my dear mother. She grew up watching my grandpa reupholster chairs and sofas so she knows a few tricks of the trade. My mom is where I got my love for antique furniture. I can remember as a child watching her refinish dressers and hope chests to their original glory. Now its my turn. This blog is dedicated to the ups and downs, before and afters of the process to create pieces I love.
